Alexander Marinus is a textile artist based in Brussels, Belgium. 

 

His body of work encompasses tapestry art, material research, textile design, writing, machine development, and an experimental endless documentary film. He strives to expand the scope of his materials and media — from commodity to epistemology, from products to ways of knowing, from stuff to understanding.

 

Drawing on a deeply technical trajectory, his most recent work focuses on locality and figuration.
